Seán Hooper (Lic. AC, C. AC Nanjing, China)

Seán is a licensed Acupuncture practitioner, Tui Na massage therapist and member of Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association, having graduated from the Acupuncture Foundation Ireland.

He has worked in the Jiangsu Province Hospital in Nanjing, China under the tutorship of the world renowned expert in abdominal acupuncture, Dr Han, Yan. Before setting up his own practice he worked with Dr Beizheng Liu at the Chinese Medical Centre in Dun Laoghaire for almost two years.

A keen sportsman with an interest in all things Eastern, Seán has practised the Japanese martial art of Aikido for 10 years.

A former lawyer, Seán is professional, thorough and achieves results. His diligent demeanour ensures his clients – who range from infants to the elderly – receive the premium care and attention from diagnosis through to treatment.

Sessions are predominantly acupuncture-led although where a condition requires it may be enhanced by the use of several other Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques including cupping, moxibustion (the use of heated herbs) and Tui Na, a medicinal form of massage.

Located minutes from the sea in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin, the services offered in the practice are covered by health insurers Aviva, HSF Health Plan, Quinn Healthcare and Vhi.
